At Motion Massage, I believe you can play an active role in your health and recovery. That's why I have devised a unique 90-minute session designed for partners or friends to learn skills.  No lengthy course or complex theory.  This is all about getting hands-on and developing practical skills you can use at home immediately.

How It Works

Motion Massage is my home-based massage sports and remedial massage service.   With over 40 years' experience in health, fitness and well being,  I can create a treatment specific to your sport or health requirements.  As a fitness consultant and personal trainer, I can bring health and fitness to your door with a planned and creative workout tailored to your needs.   

Evaluation

My initial assessment and diagnosis focuses on understanding your requirements and any soft tissue condition and needs to create a personalised massage treatment plan  or personal training plan.  The plan will address your specific goals and concerns. Additional health and fitness advice is offered if desired.

Treatment/Training

Each massage treatment is designed to optimise your health and well being.   I combine a variety of techniques to accelerate healing and improve your overall well-being. A training session is designed to be progressive so that you can see and feel the progress you are making.  

Progress

I track your progress closely and make necessary adjustments to your massage treatment to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcomes.  The same approach is applied to a training session where safe exercise is a priority.

About Me

I work as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist.  

My passion for all things central to physical and emotional health and well being goes back over 45 years!  I have extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, strength and conditioning, the impact of ageing,  how to maintain and improve physical and emotional health , combined with a lifetime of experience to draw upon.  

I have been a lifetime sportsman, from running, athletics, rugby and squash. (playing and coaching). Currently I maintain excellent fitness through advanced strength & conditioning sessions 5 times each week.  

I spent many years in education and training.  I originally became a teacher and taught in secondary schools before leaving to join the Army as an Army Officer.  Following service at home and abroad I left and returned to teach in further and higher education.  In my later years I was involved in quality assurance, providing advice and guidance to training providers.
